- arrived late at lab (9h40)
- looked at what I need to upgrade my ubuntu sytem to Hardy. I will make a backup before and need more free space on my / partition.
- meeting (10h-11h15) with Béné and Marie-Pierre. Béné’s work is progressing nicely: she corrects her PICR2 paper and the second paper is on the right track. There are still differences between MP’s simulations and Salamatin’s simulations that we do not entirely understand.
- Chated with Jean-Robert about an article ‘review of flicker noise spectroscopy in electrochemistry’ and whether this analysis could be applied to our paleo records.
- Gave EDC3_on_Vostok to JR
- scanned the Martinson et al. (QR, 1987) paper.
- 14h-15h20: meeting on the MDC recruitement.
- Brief chat with Jérôme about the oldest ice project.
- Admin for the Vienna EGU mission
- read the first NEEM sitrep.
- started to read the Fischer et al. (Nature, 2008) paper on methane sources during the last deglaciation.
- tomorrow’s plan: work on Vostok modelling during the morning and conf preparation during the afternoon.

Friday 2008/04/25

- arrived late (10h) at lab
- meeting about the recruitement. Things are clearer in my mind now.
- ‘ice flow’ coffee. Chated about last EGU.
- Decided that Marie will be the expert for Marie-Pierre’s report. Sent an email to her for that.
- Sent review requests to 3 reviewers for the AG paper.
- Cancelled my AG submition for the Madrid conference.
- Sent report for a candidate for the MDC position

Thursday 2008/04/24

- arrived à 8h45
- Chated with Marie about aiming at a draft for Madrid conference
- Agreed to participate in a debate on climate change at Ollières-sur-Eyrieux (07) on November 21.
- Chated a bit with Marie-Pierre. She was using wrong isochrone data. There is still a misfit between modelled and observed isochrones. She will investigate the real-ice_equivalent depth transformation.
- lunch with Yves. Chated about the MDC recruitement.
- email to Andrey for his potential visit next summer.
- email to Béné for her post-doc application
- watched Marie Rousselot’s seminar about desagragating meso-scale climate parameters in Alpine regions. Very interesting work.
- Gag agreed to make a cake for tomorrow’s ‘ice flow’ coffee.
- Chated with Mathias about my activity in the lab.

Wednesday 2008/04/23

- report for a teacher candidate in LGGE
- coffee with Max. Chated about Komso and Dome B datings.
- lunch with Florent & co at RU. Chated in particular about Spitzbergen with Lucas. Would be nice to go again there.
- Listened to seminar on 10Be by Gilles Delaygue. Very interesting.
- Chated with Gilles about validaty of accu reconstructions from isotopes at high temporal frequency. I should look more closely at the Traufetter et al. (JG, 2004) paper.

- fought with wordpress.com. Very strange behaviour: posts do not appear at first, but then they are here after a stop/restart of the navigator. Maybe it comes from the proxy sever, I will try again at home.
